Accessibility Statement

The organisation "Valorlux" is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the law of 28th May 2019 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies. This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.valorlux.lu

What is digital accessibility?

Everyone should be able to easily use and consult the information on a website or an app, in particular people with disabilities and/or using assistive software or specialised equipment (blind, partially sighted or otherwise disabled people).

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the European Standard EN 301 549 and RGAA version 4.1 , due to the reasons listed below.

Inaccessible content

The content is inaccessible for the following reason(s)

Non-compliance to RGAA 4

  • Certain contrasts in texts or icons, in links or input fields are insufficient (white text on overlay background not detected)
  • In the structure of the website, certain link titles are not the same as the visible title even though they are necessary to confirm the destination of the link.
  • Certain bullet lists, numbered or not, are not always recognised as such by the assistive technology.
  • In certain pages, the hierarchal order of the titles is not adequate.
  • Certain images containing information do not have adequate alternative text.
  • Certain ornamental images are not adequately ignored by assistive technology.
  • Certain links are not explicit.
  • Certain scripts are not compatible with assistive technology (example: survey on the quality of a page).
  • Certain validity errors in the HTML code can disrupt assistive technology.
  • Certain content hidden from assistive technology receives keyboard focus (example: survey on the quality of a page).
  • Certain downloadable documents are not accessible.

Disproportionate burden

  • Some editorial content, particularly the oldest, can be non-compliant.
  • Incorrectly formatted lists and intertitles.
  • Inaccurate titles and alternative texts for images, this should however not block access to information.
  • Checking and reworking every page of the website would constitute a disproportionate amount of work compared to the expected improvement.
  • Special attention will be brought to the creation of new editorial content.
  • All documents available on the website are not necessarily compliant with the EN 301 549 V2.1.2 standard.
  • We will strive to provide information to get an accessible alternative upon request.
  • Certain videos are not subtitled for lack of resources.

Content that does not fall within the scope of the law of 28th May 2019

  • Online platforms, iframes and certain external scripts, which are not under our control
  • Certain downloadable documents are not accessible
  • Downloadable documents from third parties are not under our control
