What says the law?
From December 31 2018, the points of sale will not be able any more to provide single-use plastic bags for free.
There is an exception for very light plastic bags, i.e. with a thickness of less than 15 microns, which are used for hygienic reasons or as a primary packaging for unpackaged food, if it prevents food waste.

The choice of a substitute for plastic bag should take into account of its way of production and its material as well as of it is reusable or recoverable.
